Hey there all,
I am new to the Voyager scene and just picked up an Anniversary Edition Electric Blue yesterday. Problem is... the guy only had Bank A sounds in it.
I understand there are supposed to be 7 banks of 128 sounds each, but alas, this machine has no such thing. I have tried advancing with the cursor/+ to no avail.
The Moog site has only Firmware 3.5 presets available and they are different again from the presets shown on the list for the Voyager starting at FW 3.0
Can anyone please point me to the place to get those 7 banks of presets?
Sorry for the lengthy post, but I'm eager to hear more sounds than I currently have. Thanks

Re: Voyager Anniversary Edition Presets
So, diving into this further. I downloaded the Editor/Librarian from Soundtower. There, I have access to several banks, although not the ones listed in the User manual. Now I have a different issue. No matter which bank I select in the Editor to send to the Voyager, they always get inserted into Bank A in the Voyager. I have tried the Cursor/+ to advance banks, but nothing happens. I know the Cursor button works because I can cycle through menus.
Any ideas?
UPDATE; In speaking with Jared at Moog, it seems that the digital board is still an original Rev and was never upgraded by the previous owner. It will only take Bank A and 128 presets. Bummer yes and no. I have gone through my editor/librarian and flushed out all the presets that I don’t really like and I am good to go with the 100 of so remaining, Plus, the ease at which I can replace the bank makes it less of a ‘doh’ moment. I did not check that all the banks were there when buying.
At least I have 8 banks on my XL.

oh that's too bad, it is a hardware upgrade?
maybe Moog can ship you the new board, and you can install yourself?

It is a hardware update. You get a new digital board. And it was sold as field upgrade (to do it yourself) or you took your Voyager to a Moog technician.
I did it my self. No soldering needed. but you need to measure some voltages with a good voltmeter.
My original digital board was through hole soldered. the new 3.0 hardware upgrade board was SMD mainly.

keep on turning these Moog knobs

I checked with Moog, and they no longer carry those boards. Not a big issue, as a I have an XL that gives me 8 banks.ummagumma wrote: Thu Jul 23, 2020 4:52 pm oh that's too bad, it is a hardware upgrade?

I was thinking originally that there was a glitch in my EB.
