Voyager, VX-351 and Model D Reissue
Bought a VX-351 CV Expander to my Voyager yesterday and connected my Model D Reissue (and eventually to some other of my analog synths). Discovered I need to have the patch cable in the Model D Reissue “halfway” to get correct signal for the pitch. I suspect I’ll need TRS cable instead for some CV inputs on the Model D but have no such at home to try. Do I need balanced (or TRS) cables for CV connecting this particular setup?

Re: Voyager, VX-351 and Model D Reissue
I don't have a Model D reissue but that seems strange - maybe something else going on. I assume you tried more than 1 mono (TS) cable? Try using the pitch out from the 351 to control filter or some other parameter just to see what happens.
(Edit)
Oops - I should have looked at the manual first (was going by my vintage mini):
Oscillators (Pitch): 1/4” TRS
1 volt per octave of change
Ring connector allows pedal control via Moog EP-3 Expression Pedal

Thank you Markyboard! I was looking in the manual but couldn’t find the particular info.
