Minimoog shipment from outside US for repair
Minimoog shipment from outside US for repair
Hello, does anybody had experiences with shipment from outside US in order to repair an instrument? My problem is related to customs duties I don't want to pay (since I have already bought my minimoog..!). Many thanks in advance

I would strongly suggest contacting Moog Music service department and directly ask them about it.

Re: Minimoog shipment from outside US for repair
I am having a similar problem. I have the reissue of the EHX 16 second digital delay, and shortly after its release, EHX offered a mod that removed an annoying count-in before recording. I wrote them and found out that they still did this for $35! So I sent the pedal from EU to New York, and now it has come back, but stopped at customs. They treat it as a purchase and want receipts for the purchase so they can compute customs. I am now trying to convince them that I own the pedal, and it is not a purchase but a repair.
But it is probably a lost battle. They will at least claim customs of postage, repair costs + VAT, and a huge fixed "processing costs". Damn, I support free trade.
