Lengai,

What are the glitches in the SE ? With the four year warranty and the 2 factory retunings that Moog offered to the SE owners there shouldn't be any remaining glitches in any USA Voyagers that hasn't be dealt with. I'm not sure if anyone overseas would take advantage of the offer because of shipping cost but it is available.

I know my SE has the pitch bend hardware fault. I've just been told by someone at Moog that the early models had a 'working design' which, well, didn't! He also mentioned some hardware upgrades to the analog board which should also be carried out.

It's a simple hardware fault which means the bend up range is slightly different to the bend down range. Mine's still within the 4 year warranty period and it can be sorted, but I've still got to risk a courier up & down to Turnkey, and then there's the Turnkey risk!

As far as I know the other 'glitches' were ironed out by the software upgrades but I might be missing something.

That's why everyone with the SE should take advantage of the factory tunings, it basically insures them of up to date functionality and fixes that are in the newer Voyagers.

I agree, but shipping each way from the UK is around $300. There's always Turnkey :(

Now you know what I was referring to as "glitch fear." Some of the SEs will be fixed and some will not so people looking to buy a Voyager in say 20 years may be worried that the bugs were not ironed out on the unit they are looking to buy, especially if they can't demo it.

Possibly, but hopefully someone at Moog will decide to appoint a few more authorised dealers around the globe, therefore making the upgrades/tunings more achievable. The current situation here in the UK with Turnkey the only option, is a joke.

Hello,

You just ask them to scan/fax you a copy of the service receipt.
Some people keep the service/maintenence records of high-end items they
have, including automobiles. This gives you a history of repairs, pm, etc.

Regards,

Lawrence
