LFO knob question

Post by AlakaLazlo » Thu Aug 03, 2017 2:19 pm

The lfo speed knob on my Model D is really loose. It's not loos in the panel, the knob itself is loose and it moves with just the slightest touch. It's not a deal breaker, but I'm wondering if anyone elses' is like this. Its still under warranty, but I'd probably just replace the pot myself rather than sending it back to Moog.
Moog IIP, One 16V and MiniMoog, DotCom/FSFX/Moon/STG 110, Cubase 12Pro, Ableton Live 10/64, RME UFX+, 2xMR816, MioXL, Expressionist, Cirklon, Analog Rytm Mk II, Axon AX50, Customized Variax JTV69s (the Hexstainocaster), Strat, Godin ACS Slim, Helix.

mine has less turning resistance than the other knobs on the front panel, but it's not "loose" per se

it still has some resistance, but it turns much easier. i actually prefer this, as it's easier to adjust with 1 finger while simul adjusting the pitch/mod

I have seen that smooth resistance completely disappear when people spray contact cleaner into the backs of pots though. So be careful with that
