I have a Voyager select with the backlit panel, but in an effort to preserve the life of the panel lighting, I use the gooseneck lamp in dark environments occasionally. I apparently, stupidly, left the lamp shining on the screen for too long the other night, and now when I turn on the Voyager I have a darkened smudge over several pixels where the lamp was shining.
Is there any way to fix this? Or will it go away eventually? Or would I have to have the screen replaced?
It doesn't make the screen unreadable or affect the performance in any way -- it's just an unsightly distraction on an otherwise perfect instrument. Wondering if anyone else has run into this and what it would take to remedy. I tried searching for solutions online before posting. Welcoming any ideas, or just posting as a warning to other users with the lamp attachment.
Thanks
Voyager Lamp Screen Burn
Re: Voyager Lamp Screen Burn
interesting, I had to boost the contrast on my voyager, to get rid of a dark square that appeared eventually over the entire display
it is gone now, but I assume it is just due to age?
It would be good to know how complicated it is, to replace the screen on these
good luck!!
