Reissued Minimoog. Why no oscillator sync?

Since Moog Music added some upgrades to this iconic synth, why not oscillator sync? This is on almost all analog synths, even those that don't have oscillator cross modulation. Combining sync with cross mod can create some unique sounds. Sync is one function I always missed on the Minimoog. It just seemed like the reissue was a good opportunity to add this essential feature.

They could have added each and every mod that used to be available to the vintage Minimoogs. But why? I was rather looking for a close reproduction of the vintage Minimoog. The two additional switches and the knob for the LFO are not changing the look and function too much. Of cause, sync would have been just another switch. But I rather have an extra LFO just like on my Lintronic Midified vintage Minimoog then sync.
But adding the good old sync modification should be no problem, as the oscillator board is a well done reproduction of the vintage ones. So the old modification manuals from the past should work on the reissued Minimoogs too. But don't blame me for drilling a hole in the front panel.

I have to agree about the extra LFO. I also have vintage mini with Lintronics midi convertor/LFO circuit board. I don't think I would do the modification on the mini to get oscillator sync, I can use my Super Jupiter for sync sounds. I'm really glad that Moog re-released such an iconic instrument.

To put the LFO on there but not include the sample and hold is a shame.
