I've been playing around with polychaining my Sub 37 with my slim phatty and I'm getting a number of unexpected and inconsistent results. At times I can only get sequential note playing and no polyphonic simultaneous notes and other times it works fine. And sometimes both sub 37 and phatty play the same simultaneous one note and the next note played is silence even though I haven't made any parameter changes.
Also I've noticed the slim phatty seems to unexpectedly slide out of tune and it's a mildly infuriating hell trying to get it back in tune with the sub 37. These issues tend to arise once I start playing around with the arpeggiator or sequencer on the Sub 37. I disabled the panel in the midi out filters menu but the issues persist.
Anyone else experiencing these issues or have any suggestions?
Sub 37 / Slim Phatty polychain oddities
Re: Sub 37 / Slim Phatty polychain oddities
I have four SP's attached to a LP. Occasionally I have to send an 'all notes off' to set the poly note alg straight again. Also, I had to wrap the last SP MIDI thru back around the LP MIDI in it get it to work without losing a lot of notes; this is mentioned in one of the Moog policy tutorials on the site in the SP or LP section.
Also, update the SP to the most recent firmware.
