Hello, since a week I am owner of a second Sub37
And am now experimenting for the first time with how to set up a poly chain
I have exemplified this video to accomplish this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alg7TOwhpCw
but if I follow the instructions for Step 7
scroll within midi set up until I find poly and set the first sub to be 1 of x and the second sub to 2of x
I experience the two synths do not play layered together until I play the key a second time and Also playing sequences are unstable
when i set both subs to poly 1 of x it seems to be ok , but I doubt whether this is the right way to do
can anyone advise me how to set up both synths properly
Your help is highly appreciated !
Thanks in advance

Re: How to Set Up the Sub 37 Poly Chain
Sounds like the poly chain is working exactly as it should, first note is played by the first synth, 2nd by the 2nd synth, and so on, so you can play two notes at the same time. 2 note polyphony.
If you want four notes you could make osc 1 and 2 of the first synth play note 1 and 2, and osc 1 and 2 of the second synth play note 3 and 4.
if you just want to sync the two, send them the same clock,
if you want to play monophonically (4 osc sounds), just send them the same midi notes, or link them through and mirror midi in to midi out
i don't think the sequencer is designed for poly chaining.
if you want to sequence chords, just send them the same clock and make sequences on both with the respective note on either. then trigger both with one key (not through poly chaining)
I'm quite curious, why did you want two sub37's?

Re: How to Set Up the Sub 37 Poly Chain
Thanks Matthias
I usually play live with several mono synths and the Sub 37 is my absolute favorite
I was planning to save for the new Minimoog Model D, until my best friend decided to sell his brand new Sub 37 at a ridiculous low price
So I did not hesitate to go for this opportunity
there I see plenty of possibilities to enrich my sonic pallet and make even fatter sounds without spending 3900 Euros for a minimoog
