mother 32 minitaur and ableton

Post by mr.phoenix » Fri Nov 11, 2016 4:40 pm

Hello!

I'm really new in this but I really want to buy mother 32 and minitaur and connect them to the ableton but the way I want them in a separate channel.
For example minitaur is bass the mother is lead... with different midi file from ableton and tweaking them separate :)

I really tried to search is it possible or not but I don't find it...

Can you guys help me please?
Thanks in advance

Sounds like you should start by reading up on midi ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIDI )
and audio intefaces ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_card )

basically you need to send midi information to the 2 synths and have two seperate input channels to receive the audio output of the synths

therefore you need a soundcard/audio interface with multiple inputs and midi outputs.

a midi signal can be connected through from one device through to the next because you can send information, cc commands on 16 different channels. You can set the synth to listen to a particular channel.

this information can be transmitted via a midi cable (the ones with the 5_pin round connector)
or, on the minitaur also via usb. there is no usb connector on the mother.

best of luck & have fun
