Sub 37 display issues

Post by terrorboss » Sun Aug 16, 2015 3:15 pm

Hey guys,

Have any of you had the display on your sub 37 stop working? Mine is just giving me a glowing white screen with no text. Everything else is working normally.
It is making programming a bit... problematic.

Halp!

It was working when you got it, correct?
What's the S/N & how long have you had it?

Hi Guys,

Andy from Moog Tech Support here!!!

My apologies for any long delays in email replies as we have been having a little bit of trouble with our email server.

Also, while we occasionally monitor these forums, we can't feasibly monitor every thread that gets posted.

Please feel free to contact me directly via email at andy@moogmusic.com, or for an urgent matter please call tech support at 1-(828)-251-0090 xt. 221, 217 or 204.

Please tag in the subject line FORUM POST ISSUE so I can easily differentiate it from the hundreds of other inquiries I receive each week, and please flag it as urgent.

In the body of the email, include your Forum User Name so I can easily track back to the original post, and also a link to the forum where you were posting.

My thanks for your patience and understanding.

Thanks,
Andy Hughes

I know this might be silly, but have you tried the contrast adjust?

That's an option?! I'm scouring the manual and seeing nothing.

Hi terrorboss,

If you still have the original Firmware you can scour page 42 of the original Owner's Manual.

If you have Firmware v1.1 you can scour page 49 of the latest Owner's Manual.

As I cannot see what I am doing, could one of you cool dudes or dudettes give me a walk through of how many times I hit a button to get to the correct screen?

1) Power cycle Sub 37 to make sure your GLOBAL page is at 1.1.

2) Press GLOBAL button (far left on panel) to enter GLOBAL Mode.

3) Press UP button (under LCD display) exactly three times to get to GLOBAL MENU 3.3: CONTRAST.

4) Use FINE TUNE knob (bottom left on panel) to choose desired contrast.

If that doesn't work, try only steps 1, 2, and 3.

Then, press the CURSOR button exactly once.

Then press the UP button a bunch of times and, if that doesn't work, try the DOWN button a bunch of times.

If none of that works, try re-installing the Firmware OS and Panel OS.

If none of the above works, it could be a loose ribbon connection inside.

Good Luck!

It was worth a try, thanks!

I have the cable coming in the mail to allow me to do a firmware update, here is hoping.

Re-installing both the Firmware and Panel OS is worth a shot as the display screen goes totally white during some of it.

Thanks for picking this up, Dan. I'm in the process of moving and don't have immediate access to all things synth at the moment ...

I got the same issue, updated my moog last week and its been working like a charm. But today the display just stoped working, went all white on me.

Did you solve your problem, did you reinstall the latest firemware and if so, did it work?
