I have an Arturia Beatstep Pro that I'm trying to use to drive my Mother32 and BFAM (built at Moogfest).
When I plug in the pitch or gate CV from one of the BSP sequencers to either the Mother or BFAM, there's an annoyingly loud buzz. The 2 synths are plugged into the same power strip as the laptop and USB hub that connect to the BSP. I suspect some kind of grounding problem, but I was curious if this is a common problem?
Mother and BFAM buzz when plugged into Beatstep Pro
Re: Mother and BFAM buzz when plugged into Beatstep Pro
I don't think I had any hum with pretty much that same setup. I was using headphones and a random raspberry pi power supply to power the Beatstep. I haven't used the Beatstep since I've been back, but will hook it up and try it out tonight.
How are you powering your Beatstep, and are you using an amp, or headphones?

Since you have the Beatstep pro, are you using the usb isolation adapter?
Re: Mother and BFAM buzz when plugged into Beatstep Pro
I don't think I was using the isolation adaptor; I'll give that a try. Thanks!

Using the isolation adapter worked for me with both the Mother 32 and my Modular rack!!!
