MuRF MF-105 [Mix Issue / Bleed Thru]

Post by Pepper Pete » Wed Dec 28, 2005 3:44 pm

Has anyone had an issue with the Mix on the MuRF. When i turn it up to Full I am still getting bleed of the original source. Is this just the way it is, or is this service?

hey mr pepper,

I have encountered the same issue. In the past, when I turned the mix knob all the way to 10, the filters would modify the signal to the point of barely noticing the original tone. I accidentally provided the murf with 12 V instead of 9 V for a couple of hours, I really cant forgive myself for doing that, and thats when I started noticing the same problem you have. I really dont have an answer for your question, I believe it needs tech support so I have already taken the murf to my technician to at least check if there are damaged components.

Have you resolved this issue? Please let me know if you did something about it, and ill post a message regarding the visit to the "doctor", in like five days from now, when I get the results from the technician...

Hello Eduardo,

I contacted Moog, and tech helped me out. I did have to send it in to be serviced, but no big deal. I should be getting it back today (I hope). I never used a different power supply. I had the unit for 5 months before I noticed the problem. Other then that issue I found this pedal to be absolutly amazing. I also have the Ring Mod and when you put them together the sounds are fantastic. I use it on everything guitars, Drum Machines, Synths, and as a post production effect.

Hope everything turns out OK. Let me know what your tech said.

Thanks,

Pep
