Tabletop Sub Phatty - chopping off the keyboard/wheels

Hello- I was wondering has anyone made a tabletop version of their Sub Phatty? I've been thinking about it a lot lately. I was wondering if you could disconnect the ribbon cable that goes to the keyboard, disconnect the ribbon cable that goes to the wheels, take out the pitch/mod wheel housing and keyboard and block off the space with a piece of wood, trim the end cheeks and make a clean looking tabletop Sub Phatty. I'd really love a 2space rack Sub Phatty or a tabletop version that looks the same. I really don't need the wheels and keyboard. I'm good with carpentry.
Do you think it's possible? Has anyone attempted it?

this is what I was hoping to buy but I think it doesn't make sense for the company to do it. takes folks like you to come up with a solid mod.
