Live Set Up
We're considering playing live in the near future, however we do not wish to use any computer in the set up. I have my Voyager with 4 x moogerfoogers including VX-351 & CP251, a Frostwave Fat Controller, a Nord Modular Keyboard Version 1, a Korg ES 1 Drum Machine and a Novation A-Station Rack VA Synth to compliment Guitars, Bass and Percussion. My question is, What's the best way to hook everything up to one another that enables basic Midi Time Code and my CV's to work in sync without resorting to a PC/Laptop and Midi Interface?
maybe this could work
I think you could use a CV/midi adapter and sync everything off the drums.. run the rest of the midi however you need to
..it would be nice if the Voyager could send CV/Gate coming from a different and independent MIDI channel like on the Waldorf Pulse+. On the Pulse you can even decide if the outs are Hz or Volts and there is an additional CV aux for modulation stuff.
But not a big deal..

..btw, Im also putting together a live set for May this year. Was going to be based around a MPC1000 but decided to get a laptop as I sequence in Live and a lot simpler to just take Live out to gigs..
Im really want to take my Voyager AE out live but
a) it weights a ton and ill be getting everywhere via tube.
b) its a Voyager AE!!
Does anyone gig with a Voyager and have managed to keep it totally un-scratched?

The aluminum case is fantastic. As big and heavy as it is, it actually makes transporting fairly easy. The wheels are superior to the ones found on other cases. There are handles on each end. Lots of stairs would be a hassle, but if someone is with you to help it wouldn't be too bad. I think the aluminum case is less bulky than the molded case, and you can stack things on it. The molded case is longer and not near as durable as the aluminum one.
