Re: Sequencer on the Mother-32
Just worded this question differently, maybe we were not clear in asking first time around

Re: Sequencer on the Mother-32
Briefly,
The Dopher Dark Time Step Sequencer ( Dark Energy is a Seperate Synth) has two rows of 8 steps. It con be set up as two independent 8 step sequences, each on a separate MIDI ch, or cv gate out. The second mode uses both rows two make a 16 step sequencer, each of the two rows can be transposed up or down. Each row can be set to forward, reverse or random. This isnreally cool if you are running it as two 8 step sequences.
Each step has a tuning knob rather than the 32's entering pitch by pressing the keyboard or through Midi each step has twithcs to turn the step off or to,skip. There is a combination of swtichs, similar to the 32, where you can have the sequence play just between select steps. Nice thing on the Dark Time everything is there in front of you. Nice thing on the 32 it goes a little deeper in options for each sfep. For example, there is not a ratchet, or glide option like on the 32. The 32 also lets you store your seqeunces to memory, you can not do that on the Dark Time, or enter notes via MIDi, yiu have to dial it in.
Both will live together very well . Another fun one is the Arturia Beat Step or Beat Step Pro. Many others out there that work well,

Re: Sequencer on the Mother-32
You're welcome. Both have their pluses. The 32 mire steps and more features for each step. Dark Time more immediate control but there are ways to change parameters on the fly with the 32.

Might also check out the Korg SQ-1 has all the features of the Dark Time + more and is considerably cheaper. It's also built out of metal and is solid.
