Hello everybody,
I am new to this forum as an user but I have been lurking for some months now, as I own a Sub 37 since last May. I am sorry if this has been covered already but I couldn't find it anywhere, so here it goes: I have a very simple and basic question. A friend of mine brought his Volcas the other day for a Jam session and we couldn't figure out how to sync them with the Sub 37. Our setup consisted of a Roland TR-8 which sent midi clock to the Volca Beats and from this to a Volca Keys. At first we thought we could simply plug the Sync Out from the Volca Keys to the Sub but we have tried every Sub in jack with no success. Is this even possible?

Re: Volcas+Sub37
I had all the volcas before the sub 37 (still have the beats).
The volcas sync to either midi in via 5 pin DIN or to analog clicks using the 1/8" jacks - they only output sync clicks via the 1/8" socket.
the sub 37 syncs via midi only, via either usb or DIN - there's no direct means to sync the sub 37 to the sync output from the volca.
if you're using the tr-8 as the master clock, it'd make sense to hook that up to the sub 37, hook the sub 37 to the first volca's midi in via DIN, then use the 1/8" sockets to sync the volcas to each other. just make sure you have the sub 37 set to echo the relevant midi in to DIN/both from whatever socket you used - you do that via the midi menu.

Re: Volcas+Sub37
Well, many thanks for your prompt answer. It sure makes sense to arrange the setup the other way around as you explained, looks easy enough that way. I will try and get back with the results. Cheers!!
