WTF?

Whats up with the "if you read your manual" posts on this forum

My Sub37 didnt ship with one so if its so important why couldnt moog get there bleep together and ship each synth with a manual

I do have the pdf but come on Moog, shipping without a manual is a low blow......

Maybe someday I'll steal your car to make up for the in convenience you've brought to my life!

At least make some god damned vid tut's!!!!!

Chillax brah. The sub 37 isn't very different from any other synth. They probably didn't ship a manual because they're still putting the finishing touches on the synth. In the meantime just watch a tutorial for any synth, it will be applicable. As far as the sub menu options go just scroll through them, it's fairly straight forward.

One of the convenient things about a pdf manual is that you can use your computer to search for key words that will take you to sections of the manual that you may not have thought to check.

I guess sometimes it's more fun to be an entitled internet antagonist. On line forums have not made civility redundant. :D

Being a noob to the world of roll-your-own synthesis, I too would benefit from some basic tutorials. I am struggling with the modulation routing options, finding timbre(s) that I like and a bunch of other topics - like getting the envelopes to work the way I believe they should. I am not letting all that deter me tho. This learning curve is making me to spend a lot of time in front of the 37 and alltho my progress is slow, I am getting the hang of things bit by little bit :)

I've found that cloning existing presets to new locations and experimenting with them allows me to conjure up interesting stuff that I can take notes on and save to the new location, thus not toasting the original preset in the process. and helps with the learning curve.

IMHO, once the editor librarian is released I am sure my understanding of what the multitude of routing options have on the effect of the sounds I produce will increase exponentially. As will the quality of my sounds too (I hope!!!).

but in the meantime, some pointers to decent video tutorials wouldn't hurt ...

P.S> I did obtain a copy of Welsh's Cookbook and am waiting on the arrival of the book that Daemon Dan recommends as well.

Tutorials would be a big help for me also. As well as some info on how to use nrpn messages.
