Wooooooord! :-)

But the audio routines are a littlebit clearer, or what do you think?
Filter here, Waveform there, a moog sounds very true and fair.

Well, i thought we talk about hardware...
anyhow, when it comes to software i have also something to say... 8)

I also used Steinberg's Cubase since years and i am now on the latest version.
But i don't like as much anymore, don't know why. Maybe the look, maybe the way it works, but for recording and arranging a song SX3 is still in use.

Last year i made a good deal on Samplitude V8. I tell you, i like the feel of this program and i know that it sound silly, but my impression is, that it sound better ( i know, i know, how can that be? ). The Midisection of Samplitude is still a bit poor, but there are enough users at the Steinberg Forum which report enough timing probs with SX. Anyhow, for recording i can recommend both Progs, but i feel more sympathy for samplitude.

My most inspiring and beloved Softwaresequencer at the moment is LIVE!
Yes, this is not a sequencer or just a program, it is a musicinstrument. It inspire me and it is fun to work with it. Well, everyone who use it knows about what i am speaking, and everyone who don't know Ableton Live should give it a try. honestly.

How does it come that all companies above are from germany?

At least, when i travel around and have to stay in a hotel and gor my Notebook with me, i am happy to have Propellarheads Reason installed on it. There is nothing else i need or miss if i want to make a new song.
Reason is fine!

So, one last thing. I love synthesizer, so that's why i bought the voyager and there is realy nothing which comes close in software. it starts with the feeling. i need to feel and hear the electrons running thru the cabels....brzzlbrzzlbrzzl

another vote for Live! great program and as completely changed the way I make music. Before I spent eons recording midi and clicking the mouse.

Now I'm catching real time performances on my synths. I'm actually playing continuously. The revolution is that you can then manipulate audio as you do midi in other sequencers.

This always of course, with your head banging, and without stopping the engine!
