LPTE Architecture vs. LP Stage II
LPTE Architecture vs. LP Stage II
I thought I recall a thread a while back talking about some of the internal/architectural differences between the Little Phatty Tribute Edition and Stage II. I realize the II has an additional LFO, better tuning options, but in regards to the raw analog sound/signal path, I remember a few folks preferring the sound of the LPTE over the II because of its underlying design. I tried searching for the thread but cannot find it. Regardless, am I on track with this thought process or am I just tripping out? I get it that better vs. not better is subjective, I was just looking for the reasoning behind why some folks thought the LPTE sounded "better".

It's all about the wood side panels.
Re: LPTE Architecture vs. LP Stage II
I did a little bit of searching and could not find any mention of internal "sound" differences between the LP versions. Since you have done your research and are aware of the cosmetic and feature differences between all 3 versions, I think that's all you really need to worry about. If there was a major difference between the models sonically, I think we would have found something, somewhere regarding that.
FWIW, I'm MarkH as well.
