Convincing Bass Guitar Tone with LP?

Post by richard.charlton » Mon Apr 27, 2015 9:42 am

Hi everyone, recently purchased a Little Phatty and am absolutely loving it! I've already incorporated it into my band's live sound to cover the low end. Our bass player is more familiar with keyboards over frets and would rather just play the LP exclusively instead of switching between it and a bass guitar. Anybody have any good tricks to make their LP have a similar attack and tone of your average bass guitar tone? Cheers!

That's something I'd like to know as well.
Does anyone know how to do that?

I did a cool double bass patch once, I guess electric bass was not to far away.
Two osc one of which is quieter, just for character, and an accurate balance of filter cutoff and filter envelope with fast decay and moderate sustain. This was the key, to be finely tuned, of course.
