v.3 external audio in pot

can anyone tell me how to stop the external audio in pot acting as a patch scroller in version 3? it's very useful, but now i cant seem to use my external audio in mixer!

Hit the PANEL button and scroll down to menu item 2.2, Ext. Audio Pot.
Hit ENTER, then use the CURSOR button to select 'NO'.
Hit ENTER to store your selection.

Now the External Audio pot resumes control of the level.
