Problem with Bus 2 Modulation

Post by nuon » Sun Mar 15, 2015 1:53 pm

Hi !

I have recently acquired an used voyager electric blue, and i suspect something is wrong with modulation
bus 2, since i think i am doing everything right, and get no modulation from buss 2, even at on/pgm...

After starting an init sound, and just by putting something like:

source: triangle
dest: pitch
shaping: ON/PGM
amount: max

i should hear something, right ?
if i mimic this on the first bus, i have a hard vibrato, like its supposed to (with mod wheel up)
but with bus 2, nothing happens,

i found a thread addressing this, but with no answers... can someone please tell me if i might be forgetting something ?

thank you
nuno

What's the serial number of your Voyager ?

I've had a string of issues with mine ever since I got it and it came to light recently that there is batch of Voyagers that could be affected by bad ICs. Maybe yours is part of that batch too.

I had the same issue with mine. I bought it used and bus 2 was doing nothing. I guess there were a certain batch of Voyagers with analog board problems, and I guess mine was part of that crop. Because it was so new when I got it, despite it being used and me not being the original owner, the factory replaced the analog board for me for free, I just had to pay to ship it to Asheville. But now I have an essentially brand new Voyager.

Best of luck.
