Moog sub 37 often disconnects when using usb in cubase
Moog sub 37 often disconnects when using usb in cubase
I use cubase 7.5 and use it as an external instrument, in cubase you have two tracks. One usb midi and one to insert delay for example. But it disconnects often, and I have to restart cubase. I haven't upgraded to the 1.1 rc version, I have the firmware version before that one. Anyone else have that problem? I have had that problem with all firmware versions.

Sounds like possibly a cable or USB jack problem. Try getting a different USB cable first and see if that resolves the issue.
Do you have any issues with other USB-connected devices?

Might be completely unrelated but on some Pc's (XP for sure)in the device manager there is a setting for each individual USB device port to allow the Port or connected device to go to sleep from inactivity. I can't remember exactly what it was called but it used to sporadically shut down recognition of my old M-Audio USB interface before I made changes to these settings. Just throwing it out there!

Hi! Thanks for replying, you and ImNotDedYet. I'm using windows 8.1 and configured the usb to not go to sleep in the advanced power options, but I will check out the device manager also. It have also happened with other synths, I have no clue why it disconnects in cubase. I can see midi activity on the other track that is created when using external instruments where you can put reverb and delay in, just like on an audiotrack. but sometimes the midi track have no activity... Well I've just have to try to get it to work.ChiLam wrote:Might be completely unrelated but on some Pc's (XP for sure)in the device manager there is a setting for each individual USB device port to allow the Port or connected device to go to sleep from inactivity.
