MIDI Clicks

Post by Jeffery&wayne » Sun Dec 28, 2014 2:49 pm

When sending and receiving midi info the sub 37 is getting clicks and audio artifacts. Would anyone know if maybe it's my interface? I don't have another interface to test but I was wondering if anyone else has this issue.

*update*
I have tried using midi over USB and the standard midi cables. Both produce a click whenever a new midi note is sent to the sub37.

*update 2*
I also noticed the clicks when I use the sub37s arp, i have only one Osc and then turn the all the envelopes to zero, so no sound should come out, but I get the click, it's very noticeable when I use the sub osc and have the filter turned down. And for the sub osc test I have the envelopes set to just sustain on 100%

I started noticing them (the clicks) when I was sequencing with Ableton.

hi,
did you check the midi in-out settings in Ableton's midichannel that you use?
I had the same issue and it was caused by a midi loop, because i used the keyboard and arp on the moog and ableton routed the same info back to the sub 37. took me a while to figure out what was happening..

good luck

I will take a look when I get on it today, did you tell the sub37 not to send midi to ableton?

I have tried the midi in/out settings in ableton, and I have tried using usb and midi cables, I do not know if it just the nature of the beast but it can produce unwanted noise when the filter cutoff or amp sustain is low:(
