I must be missing something here:
The sub phatty output is a lot louder than most of my other gear. This is a good thing!
My sub phatty master volume is set around 3-4, so it sits nice in the mixer.
Every time i load another preset, the SP's volume is really LOUD becuase it seems to jump from say 3 to 10.
So, every time i switch a patch I have to move the master volume a bit for it to set it back to 3-4 (or whatever level the master volume pot is set to)
Does this mean the volume saved with the patch resets/overrides the master volume pot?
This is kinda weird imo! I dont think any other piece of gear in my studio does this (to this extent)
Am i missing some setting, or doing something wrong? Or is it a moog thing and do i have to learn live with it?
If so, i'd like to request a change in software so master volume is excluded from parameters saved with a patch.
Sub phatty preset volume overrides master volume pot??
Re: Sub phatty preset volume overrides master volume pot??
Page 35 of the Sub Phatty manual shows how to control whether or not to use the volume setting saved in a preset. It can actually be very handy to use the volume setting saved with the preset, because different patches can have different experienced loudness, so you can save an appropriate volume setting with the patch to keep the experienced loudness equal when changing patches. Instead of opting to ignore the volume saved with a patch, you could also just adjust the volume setting of patches that are too loud/soft in your opinion.

Thanks Breun! I guess i must have a better look at the manual
Having the choice between both options is very nice indeed.
