Firmware 2.1 sustain pedal problem

Post by larsberghagen » Sat Aug 23, 2014 4:27 am

Hi. I hope someone can provide a solution for this annoying problem:

Setup: Moog Minitaur fw 2.1
Clavia Nord Stage 2

If I play a note on my keyboard and press the sustain pedal, it's like pressing a panic button - all notes off. But if I press the sustain pedal FIRST and then play a note the note sustains.

In the previous fw everything worked just fine. I've tried to downgrade several times, but then NOTHING works on my Minitaur. The midi light indicates that it's receiving data but it's dead silent. So I upgraded again and everything works. But this sustain pedal problem is killing me. Softly.

Any solutions?

i'm having the same problem i think: if i hold a note on the keyboard controller, then press the sustain pedal down, the note sustains; if i release the note and continue sustaining with the pedal, it sustains. however, if i hold the note, press sustain, then *release* sustain, while still holding the note – the note cuts off. i've tried this with every decay/release combination, no luck.

anyone?
thanks

I'm not sure this is the problem you are having but have you tried changing the damper polarity setting on your controller keyboard? I've had to change this setting on a few of my keyboards when the damper pedal worked in the opposite way that it should. Give that a try.
