^^ email sent. :)

Hey -- if anyone out there is having crashing problems with the Sub Phatty Editor plugin on Mac OSX, please contact me! I have a new build which has fixed this problem for at least one user, but I really need feedback from more people who were having this problem, so we can be confident it is fixed. I have emailed a half-dozen people who were already on my list, but I haven't heard back yet.

So, if you're reading this and you've had this problem (and it's not 6 months after this post; today is 11 March 2014), please contact me so I can send you a new version to test. Thanks!

Hi Amos,
Just bought a Sub Phatty, and i'm having similar issues in OS 10.8.5 & Logic Pro 10.0.6. It's very unstable and cuts out all the time, and sometimes a note rings endlessly, turning it off and on again fixes this, but only for a couple of seconds before it starts acting up again. I had it where it was able to record midi notes into logic, then the midi in logic controlled the phatty, but now as soon as i start recording midi, the audio cuts out and random midi data starts showing up in Logic, that isn't being played back. I've not been able to record automation at all with it via the editor. This is my first analog synth, so this all is pretty new to me. Any solutions would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Dan

Hi,

Have the same issue when used as a Plug-in in Logic. The note hangs and sometimes the release of the amp stops working. Could you send me the update?

Hi everyone!

Here's a Sub Phatty firmware which should fix two things:

1) better sysex data communication... this might (maybe!) help with the "hardware is disconnected" error message in the editor. That's the main thing I am interested in finding out... so if you got this "disconnected" error, try this firmware and tell me if it helps.

2) envelope Release becoming disabled -- that's definitely fixed in this version.

Here is a link:
http://www.moogconnect.net/downloads/su ... _2_0_5.zip

This is untested beta firmware; only install it if you know what you're doing.
But if you know what you're doing, please test it and let me know the result.

regarding the editor, I'll get a new build as soon as I can. there are some very complex build settings which allow for cross-platform compatibility... it has taken some time to find the settings which work for the widest variety of users. If you have not had success with earlier builds, I apologize. We are learning more all the time.

Cheers,

Amos

I installed the new firmware (2.0.5) But the editor (fx-Version) in Cubase 7.5 64bit still says "Hardware not connected"...
I´m working with two midi connections (USB an d DIN). Standalone works fine.

Hi Amos, you asked a while back for reports of issues with the editor crashing on OSX. I have the issue that in Ableton 9.1 on Mavericks Live will crash if the editor is brought into the fx chain with the SP as external instrument. I'm afraid I can't say what has changed as this used to work OK. Hasn't done now for a couple of months.

If there are beta versions, etc going it's youcanconcontact@yahoo.com

Thanks, Chris

I discovered it was only the vst doing the crashing, use the AU inside Live & it is solid.

Thanks, Chris
