Synhouse MIDIJACK for MG-1

Post by allochthon » Sun Apr 06, 2014 11:52 pm

Just picked up a MG-1 off Craigslist - my first Moog, and therefore my first post here.

I am unclear what exactly can be controlled by adding Synhouse's MIDIJACK to the MG-1. What I am really after (at the moment) is control of the modulation rate, but I may not fully realize the potential MIDI control would give me.

Can anyone clue me in? Thanks.

MIDI can control the modulation rate of a synth, but it can also control pitch, filter cutoff and resonance, and anything else that can be changed from the panel of a synthesizer. Since the MIDIJACK is an aftermarket thing, I'm not sure of all the parameters it would allow you to have access to via MIDI. Sometimes adding MIDI to a pre-MIDI synth limits you to a handful of parameters that can be MIDI controlled.
