crazy

there are four 104 units on ebay at the moment, 2 SD, 1 Z and the most expensive out of the 4 is 1 original. one SD will be over in 18 hrs though.

It was only a few months ago when a 104 on ebay would stir up this whole site and forum members would fight (not reallly, just bid) over it. Hard to believe that there are 4 all under a grand.

I wonder if there were more than 1250 (1000 x Z, 250 x SD) people wanting a 104, or if everyone is happy now and the ebay price will remain constant for a while?

How long do you think it will take before the Z sells out?

Moog Music never said there were only 1000 mf-104z. They have never given a number on how many will be produced.

Just got my MF-104SD.... I also learn that the 104-Z will be a run of a 1000 like the mf-104. I talked to a moog sales person about a month ago and I was told after I found Bob past (God rest his soul) that their goal was 1000 for the Z. Also that the SD has already shipped and were all gone...

Hmmmm. I emailed Moog and asked how many they thought they were going to make. They said they would keep making them as long as they could, but didn't have an idea of how many. That might just be the "official" answer, though. I hope they make more than 1000, I can't afford one at the moment!

Glad I held out and wasn't one of those people who paid over $1,000 - for one of these when they were going for crazy $$ on ebay...although i was tempted.

i can't believe the one sd only went for $760 after the other went for over 1000. the other is already above that and still has 4 days left. maybe because the guy didn't put "moogerfooger" in the title of the auction so some people missed it when searching?

i thought i had seen in a couple of different places that the z was going to be limited to 1000, can't remember if it was actually from any "official" type of source though...

That's because the originals sound "warmer" of course.
