New Voyager Owner with OS update question.

Hello all,

I don't post here much but I have recently acquired a new Voyager Stage Ed. in whitewash! Very stoked and have been enjoying it immensely the past few weeks. I purchased it from Sweetwater and all seems fine but I noticed on boot up it displayed an OS of 3.0 instead of 3.5. Strange since it was just manufactured late last year according to the invoice sticker on the box.

Anyway I have decided to download the OS from the Moog website and fully upgrade even though I thought I would not have to do this on a new instrument. Following the procedure written in the instructions everything has gone without a hitch except for the fact I can't seem to load up the Bank "C" part of the OS. I have followed the instructions to the letter but the Voyager never prompts me to load the Bank C part. And I have tried this several times.

The order I have gone in is Bank B, then Bank D. Next load Bank A ( after that it never asks to load Bank C) and lastly load Bank D again.

The voyage boots up and seems to play fine, and displays System 3.5 / Boot version 3.5. Should I be worried?

Hi Geoscience,
don't worry - the Voyager checks all OS banks after power on and if there's no message like "the System has to be reloaded" everything is fine.

Thank you for the reply RL. May I ask, what is in the operating system Bank C anyway?

Bank B is the boot system.
Banks A,C and D are parts of the operating system.
These banks have nothing to do with the preset banks A-G.
