Hello forum, I got an email today from Moog music an this is what they had to say:

We have just begun production/shipping this week. We are shipping orders
according to when the order was received. As of now, we are shipping orders
placed in July. Which dealer have you ordered from? And maybe I can give a
better idea of when their order will ship.

I just spoke to my dealer Bigcitymusic.com. and they already received a shipment. They told me they would be shipping my MF104z today.

Congrats, sure you'll have a lot of fun, we'll look for you to come up for air in a few days . Be sure to try taking the delay out to the feedback loop input and try other effects in the feedback loop in/out. The Ring Mod and MuRF provide lots of creative possibilities.

Ok I already spent some time with my new “Z” and here are some of my thoughts:

Pros:
- Super Thick sound.
- Although the pedal has very limited bandwidth the Gain circuit really makes the delay sound come alive.
- The CV options make this the most flexible delay pedal ever.
- Excellent delay effect for Vocals, Guitars, Rhodes, Synths. Has a very wide range of applications.
- When the delay is in the Long setting it acquires a very nice Lo-Fi sound, not found in any analog delay pedal I’ve heard before (Boss DM3 and Ibanez AD9).
- The loop insert makes the pedal even more flexible, It sound amazing with the MF103 Phaser in the insert, and also sounds awesome with a flanger pedal in the insert. (Ibanez FL9).


Cons:
- The 104Z has very limited bandwidth, when I ran Hi-Hat or Cymbal sounds thru the pedal, the 104Z would just ignore the sound completely even in the short setting, I understand that on the long setting it should be a little darker, but even my old Boss DM-3 and Ibanez AD9 could reproduce a Hi hat sound.

yeah, i was bummed about this too (or at least it's the same in the sd). when i put my rind mod in the external loop and turn the frequency up the delay ends up going silent. i was expecting at least something to repeat

the only other thing so far that was a con is the fact that hitting the footswitch kills the echo. i like to loop things and then play over them so i'll have to rig something else up.

this is just getting really nitpicky though cause nothing will be flawless

Hi hats have very short transients so this is not surprising. Maybe preamp the hi hat channel somehow b4 it hits the pedal.

could you run the hi hats through a pitch shifter going an octave down before it hits the Z then through another one going an octave up after it comes out to of the delay get the correct pitch/frequencies using the delay.

Hang on i just realised that would make the delay 2x faster (if it were 1 octave down then 1 octave up) so you could just flip it to short mode anyway and save yourself 2 pitch shifters.

still i'm sure you could do some cool stuff with this, like getting the Z/SD/original to flange!

first go 2 octaves down

then use the delay

then go 2 octaves up

correct pitch and the delay is magically four times faster, so just modulate it a bit and there's your flanger!

hmm all i need now is 2 pitch shifters, anyone know of any good but cheap pitch shifters?
