Operating system re load
I did a factory reset on my voyager and now it says "The operating system has to be reloaded" every time I turn it on. It also asks for the sysex data transfer of bank D but when I send it, it says "Sytem exclusive transfer has failed"

Hi Aarontylergrant,
what USB MIDI interface are you using?
This is a typically message when you are using a cheap MIDI interface without own drivers.
Is it a PC or a MAC?
What program are you using for the SysEx transfer?

Re: Operating system re load
Thanks so much Rudi!!! You the man! Quick response too! Just for the record, I was using an Emu USB to Midi 1x1 cable that my drummer recently tripped over so it may be broken anyways. I used another USB to Midi cable by Roland and all the problems disappeared. I'm on a Macbook and I was using Sysex Librarian too. I hope this helps someone else and thanks again Rudi!
Re: Operating system re load
I have a bit of a noob, followup question.
So, I've got a Moog Voyager XL that stopped making sounds. I believe this had more to do with me tinkering than there being a hardware issue. So, I've been trying to Reset it to Factory settings. In the process, it appears I've screwed up the operating system so that the Master menu options have changes. EG, there is no longer a Copyright Info and several menu items are marked **** RESERVED ****.
My thought is that I need to do a SysEx with the latest software system. It had 3.6 on it.
1) Does anyone know if 3.6 is available online?
2) Am I even on the right path?
I'm running a Macbook Pro, with a PreSonus Audio Box USB midi interface and SysEx librarian.
I've found "3_5_Voyager_Bank" and tried to send that, but I believe these are just presets for the soundbanks?
any help would be much apprecirated!
Jason
