I have been looking for a relatively cheap analogue drum machine and am considering the MFB-522. It does not ship with a power supply unit, though, so I would have to find one on my own.
The website says it needs AC/DC 12V 500mA unstable, but I am not sure what the "unstable" part of that means. Can someone explain this to me?
Alternatively, if someone could just recommend a psu to buy, I'd really appreciate it. I live in Australia.
A question about power supply

Re: A question about power supply
I suspect it does mean unregulated. Googling around, it seems it'll also take a 15v 'stable' (regulated?) supply.

Re: A question about power supply
Without knowing the MFB-522 or having googled around: I assume there are regulators in the device. If an external unstable supply of 12V DC is sufficient the internal operating supply voltage might be at 9V DC stable, but the external voltage must be higher of course. 15V should be ok also as the device regulators will cut the voltage off. I don't recommend 24V DC adaptors or higher as the internal device regulators of the MFB-522 might be fried.
