Hi.
I've made my custom control panel for Ableton Live to control Minitaur.
Current version is 0.91. I've made it from scratch on recent weekend for my own project and use it myself a lot.
Now I'm ready to share it with the community.
Advantages:
1) Almost every controller is now accessible, including 'under the hood' settings as NOTE SYNC, VCO2 BEAT FREQ, etc. (except VCA LEVEL and LOCAL CONTROL OFF).
2) Each control can be automated with Live's standard automation lanes. No need to remember all midi CC numbers and record CC values to clips. Automation is much flexible.
3) Current panel settings are storable with Live set and restorable after loading.
4) If you ARM the Minitaur track (with this panel) and tweak the synth's knobs or press buttons, these changes are mirrored on the M4L control panel.
5) Handy default mapping for AKAI APC40 controller, all 32 Device Control pots (8x4 pages).
6) You probably won't need the external Minitaur Editor for standard arrangement and synth setup operations - all availabe in Live, except for some 'set-and-forget' options like CV assignments, patch management, etc.
Known issues and limitations:
1) Since Ableton Live doesn't handle sysex messages, this panel can't read current settings from the synth with a single command.
2) I did not implement the Program change control, Main Volume control and some other minor settings.
3) In this version I implemented only MSB controllers. I'll fix this later.
4) The VCO2 FREQ control may act a bit inaccurate (see 3).
5) I've implemented the LFO CLK DIV control according the table "MIDI CC VALUES FOR THE LFO CLOCK DIVIDER (CC# 86)" from user manual, but it seems that these CC values are incorrect — settings from 1/64 T to 1/8T don't set. I'll fix this later.
6) Some new functions from firmware REV2 such as separate Decay control aren't implemented yet (I've just couldn't find the recent midi implementation info).
The patch has been tested with Ableton Live 9.0.4 and Minitaur firmware 2.0.4
Installation is simple: just unzip and drag the .amxd file directly to Live's preset browser.
Then add the "M4L Moog Minitaur Control" device to the track which sends midi data to Minitaur.
Please, feel free to use it, test it, modify it.
Please support and share, if you like. Type your feedback here.
Thanx.

p.s. It would be great to get the latest MIDI implementation document from Moog tech staff to implement every parameter which may be implemented in Max for Live.
p.p.s. Here is my feature request for the new firmware - please, add a dedicated CC command which makes the Minitaur to send all current CC values (not sysex).
This behavior may help to mirror all software controls to the current state of the synth.

Re: Minitaur Max for Live control panel for Ableton Live 9
Hey, this is really amazing, thanks for sharing!
Unfortunately it seems I could not make it work for my purposes, since I still cannot record automation no matter what I try. Any ideas?
Thanks and please keep the panel alive with updates if you can!

Re: Minitaur Max for Live control panel for Ableton Live 9
Hi, I will update it a bit ASAP for new firmware.
For now I have a lot 'day job' issues - don't have much time for Max for Live
