Etherwave controlling Voyager

Post by katsikas » Wed Aug 21, 2013 2:07 pm

I am LOVING the integration of these two tools! Having a ball with the Etherwave controlling the filter of the Voyager...HOWEVER...

Is there any way to control the RANGE of the CV control in either the etherwave or Voyager? I want to allow the filter control to range between two points, but can't seem to figure out how to do that.

Maybe I am misunderstanding CV (since this is the first time I have ever used it...more used to midi). Or maybe it is not a parameter I can control?

I am hoping I am missing something in the menus, but I can see how the touch pad sensitivities can be set, so wondering if the same can be done with the etherwave.

Sorry for the dual post, but I will post this also in the Voyager forum.

What you need is an attenuator.

Consider a cp-251 or a vx-351 (i'd personally lean towards the CP if all you have is the Voyager and Theremin in the way of CV.

You might can get off a lot cheaper by building an attenuator cable or having someone build you one. Another option is to buy an attenuator module (This one is about 50 euros plus shipping and a module requires a frame):

You might can limit the effect of the CV on the filter by strategic positioning of the filter cutoff and amount to filter pot until you get your attenuator situation solved.

Please explain your patch.

Feed the cv through the moog expresion pedal. You can set the one limit with the pot and the other with the pedal.
