FX loop now in business!

Post by MBlom » Tue Aug 13, 2013 4:49 pm

Soldered myself a Y-cable for the ext i/o today. Connected it to my Freqbox. Damn, that Voyager screamed! Next time I'll try the Phaser. Anyone care to share any ideas of what to use the Ext i/o for?

And I must say I can't wait to get an apartment where all foogers can be on the wall connected to the patchbay I made for them. Will be nice to play the Voyager with a parallell sound from the Freqbox,Lowpass and/or Phaser. Just tweaking away into oblivion! :P

I think there's an article on knob tweak about what to use in the loop to beef up the signal but I don't remember the name of it. Like How to get the most out of your Voyager or how to beef it up, or something like that. Square it up a bit....something.

It mentions putting a distortion pedal in that loop, or making a double loop. things like that. I have been wanting to try a fixed filter bank in that loop but I don't have one yet. I have also been wanting to use other filters and things, bypassing the Voyager's VCAs and filters. The Voyager's output is a little lesser than modular oscs.

You can use the 102 and 107 as external oscs as well to get 5 oscs, for some huge R 3 5 7 9th chord if you want.

I think I hear the mothership coming.
