Re: summer namm?
Most of the synth business readies gear for the back to back [regular] NAMM and Musik Messe then spend the rest of the year hurrying up to finish up for release and ship; that just seems to be the lifecycle. Certainly if somebody like a Dave Smith misses NAMM and wants to hit Summer NAMM, you'll see him there.
Despite Nashville being right over the mountains from Asheville, and rhyming with it, I think it's more of a guitar show but what do I know.
I think the biggest barrier is time to develop, produce, promote, launch and subsequently fulfill orders and Moog is a relatively small shop, doing well from an outsiders view [me] but they certainly have their hands full. Hate to see them go in the other direction if they rushed out a product which is far from ready or perhaps to a market which is not ready.
Having said this, I do watch the trade rags will vigilance for new stuff coming; love it. I suppose I'd be more broken up if I was actually invited to NAMM to work at a booth, but instead I just sit at this laptop keyboard and wait for Nick Batt to post videos

Have a promo from the upcomming 1981 summer NAMM, held June 1981 in Chicago. Moog was showing the new Source and Rogue.
