picked up three moogerfoogers yestarday, the 101, 103 and 107.
currently dont have a synth (but a yamaha ps20), so im playing that in to the 107, out in to the 101.
however, i feel that the envelope on the 101 is a bit pointless, unless you want to make blipping drum sound.
i did (havnt tried it yet) think of taking 107-EnvOut in to 101-Cutoff, and i guess that would make a slower envelope?
but then i will have to bypass the 107 (and use the dry signal from the yamaha ps20), because i dont want it to affect the pitch.
or can you somehow only send the Envelope from the 107, and not hear it?
slow down 101 envelope?
Re: slow down 101 envelope?
i realise that the envelope reacts to input volume, so having something like a Boss Slow Gear before the 101
would obviously do the trick, however, that would then also mean that the sound fades in.

Re: slow down 101 envelope?
Just turn the mix knob all the way dry.
One thing that is neat is using the envelope followers with the 103's sweep. It's an envelope phaser then!

should clarify: can you send Envelope from 107, but not hear it (the envelope), but still hear the OSC from the 107?
meaning: i want to use the Envelope as a mod source for the 101 (wich i understand works just fine),
but still have the unmodded (or unenveloped) OSC, so i can patch that in to the 101 audio input.
Re: slow down 101 envelope?
Let me ask for clarification first: you wish to use a wide sweep of the filter frequency, over a longer period of time, that follows the volume envelope that has been played?
If this is the case, you would need a lag processor to control this via CV. You want to essentially turn the spike of the envelope attack into a ramp per-say. This method would not sacrifice tone.
Another trick that may give you similar results, is to use a volume envelope (swell somehow) and careful setting of both the drive and amount knobs. If you added a compressor after, you could make up some of the volume loss/ change. You sacrifice tone to do this.
You may be able to wire up a CV routing using the phaser to again modify tone. The 101 responds well to bright sources, and not so well from dark. You could somehow phase your sound into a dark to light sweep that may result in the 101 sweeping slower. This I have not tried, but may work.
It's really a job for the CP-251.

Re: slow down 101 envelope?
i have posted two responses in this thread already, but none of them have made i through.
basically, all i want is to decrease the attack of the envelope of the 101.
and i somewhat felt that the envelope on the 107 was waay slower than on the 101.
and i want to feed the 101 with a sound that has the same volume throughout,
in this case, the OSC from the 107 that i control with my yamaha ps20,
and therefore the sound (volume) will not be able to control the envelope of the 101.
unless i use something that decreases the attack of the sound in front of the 101, lets say a Boss Slow Gear,
but this would result in lower volume in the beginning of the sound, and this is not what i want.
so i thought maybe to use the (i might be wrong here) slower envelope of the 107
to control the cutoff on the 101, without it (the envelope on the 107) effecting the OSC on the 107.

Re: slow down 101 envelope?
Odd! I see them now!
The 107 envelope is the same. It is the 107 pedal the responds at a defined rate slower, not the CV output.
With those 3 pedals, you would have a blast withy the CP. you may be able to make a DIY lag processor?
