Hi there,
I'm Patrick, from the Netherlands and I just have bought the Minitaur to get that classic MOOG bass, and I am not dissapointed, it sounds great! Giorgio Moroder in a little box!
But... I have a problem with the editor, when I start the program,it crashes directly, resulting in an error.
My windows XP has SP3 installed, is The Minitaur editor compattible with Windows XP?
Is there a solution?
Thanks, Patrick

Re: Minitaur Editor 2.0 windows XP problem
I just bought a Minitaur too and I also use XP SP3 on my music PC. I can get it to work both on midi and USB. But the CPU hit is massive for a simple editor. I'm getting 35% CPU on a i5 using either midi over DIN cable or the USB connection. On my old music P4 PC that would have probably brought it to its knees. If I try to run the editor in conjunction with Ableton Live the whole computer really struggles. Live becomes laggy and the screen refresh rate is very slow.
What I did find that if I run the editor on its own with nothing else running I could get the CPU to go to very little when I turned the midi input and outputs to off in both menus of the editor. The moment midi gets connected then the CPU would go back up to a constant 35% - so not much use as an editor.
I've been thinking about knocking something up in Reaktor to do the job instead.
