Can voyager be made to start up with panel enabled default?
Can voyager be made to start up with panel enabled default?
Hi all-
I was getting a great sound setup last night, and forgot to save it. I realise that i can go into the menus and get the panel controls activated as is, (Ie: the sound I had built), but is there any way to have the unit power up as I had left it? Thanks so much-

wanting more and more sounds, come on V.3.0 and daughterboard.

Re: Can voyager be made to start up with panel enabled defau
The Voyager should power up with the last sound in the EDIT buffer when the power was turned off (yours doesn't?).magnet wrote:Hi all-

In any case, to get back to the last edited sound, select EDIT function 1.2 "Recall Last Sound".
As for more sounds, you don't have to wait for Moog to release the OS3.0 DIY upgrade board. Go to SquareWave and check out the 100+ sounds already posted there:

hi-
No, My Voyager does not start up with what would have been in the buffer. It always starts up with what patch I last used. I was just hoping for a more convienient way to keep a "in developement" sound right on the panel, and accessable.
I also wish that the save sound/name sound was a bit more straight forward. I have had issues with that since day one. I am not a computer, or software novice, but "write/overwrite", or something makes more sense to me.
Another thing that I have noticed, and happens of its own accord, is that I sometimes 'arrow up' and the patch changes instantly. Other times I have to hit 'enter' after 'arrow up' to enable the patch sound. Happen to any of you?
I was hoping that there was a 'button press and power down' type of "lock" to have the unit power up always in panel mode. Thanks for any suggestions!

If I have a patch that is in development, I just save it as INIT or whatever it started out as. Then I go back to it at my leisure. I find the saving of patches very intuitive on the V'ger. Much easier with less steps than my Waldorf Q rack or Ion.
Your last comments haven't happened to me. That sounds like a problem. Do you have the OS 2.5 update?

You have to go to the patch parameters. Just hit Panel, then the first option should be Quick Mode.Another thing that I have noticed, and happens of its own accord, is that I sometimes 'arrow up' and the patch changes instantly. I tested out whether or not the Voyager retains a patch in the buffer when it is turned off. I made a change to a patch, turned off my V'ger, unplugged it for about 20 seconds and then turned it on again. The patch was still in the buffer. I have an AE with OS 2.5.
