Moog Sequencer

Hi all,

I was wondering whether it could be possible for Moog to make us a new Moog Sequencer. Given that there is plenty to be voltage-controlled that would be most appropriate.

What do you think?

Hopefully they will take one of Bob's older sequencer design and make it into a moogerfooger module with MIDI clock sync and an LFO that is MIDI syncable. but given that Bob passed away I seriously doubt Moog will be coming out with new products after Bob's passing. Also, If they do come out with new products, it will be interesting to see if they keep the same level of quality as they did when Bob was alive. Lets see......

I was thinking more of a rack-size Sequencer. Anyway it was stated elsewhere in this forum that Bob didn't design a few products: these were his ideas but other people designed them.

Let's hope that there exist some engineers who got something good from him with regard to quality and they continue building high-quality products.

How much would you pay for such a sequencer?

I believe that Moog Music will be coming out with MANY more instruments of quality and groundbreaking design. Don't forget Bob didn't own Moog Music, he was a designer and figurehead for the company. I'm sure there are tons of ideas the Bob invisioned that will see the light of day as will as thing that people like Steve Dunnington(spell?) and others close to the company. The fact that the Voyager is still evolving show me that they care.

sir_dss, you are probably right... I'm not saying they don't care.... Its just that with Bob being away, probably some of the Magic will be gone. Lets hope they come out with some more Kick ass equipment as they have done over the years.

And to answer ikazlar...I'll probably pay around $500 to $600 for a Moogerfooger Step sequencer with Midi......The Frostwave sequencer is around $400. so I think is a faire price.

I've been talking about a Moogerfooger or Moog sequencer for years now. It seems like one of the "missing" links from the new Moog line. I would personally love it to be part of the Mooger line (which can be rackmounted of course), but any way they want to do it would be fine. For now, you can go with the Arrick Q119 or Q960, which sits aesthetically perfect next to all of the new Moog products.

Roger Arrick is the owner and founder of synthesizers.com and so some people call the gear "Arrick"
