Why has Moog discontinued the Voyager?!
Why has Moog discontinued the Voyager?!
Just out of curiosity why has Moog discontinued the Voyager? Are they coming out with a new minimoog synth or maybe even something different? The reason Im asking is because Im not sure if its a good time to buy now, or should I wait incase Moog comes out with something better!

What makes you think it is discontinued?

Welcome MooGoogle.
They have only discontinued the customizable Select Series of the Voyager (and the Old SChool version a few years ago). All other models, Electric Blue, Performer, XL (Extra Large), Rack Mount Edition (RME), are all still being produced, AFAIK.
They are stopping production of the Select Series because probably because of higher production costs vs number of sales, for that particular model. And since it is a small company, with about 50 employees, they probably want to concentrate the production line on other new products like the Sub Phatty.
BTW, the Select Series is still currently available in some stores, at considerable rebate. Although it is evidently not customizable, since it is left over, unsold stock.
