Hi, I own a Voyager xl and just got an Analog Solutions Oberkorn sequencer in the mail today. I currently don't have cables to hook it up, they will arrive tomorrow. But I was wondering what the easiest way to hook the Oberkorn into the Voyager XL CV is?
In the Oberkorn manual it says:
Oberkorn Output
Pitch: VOLTAGE OUT A
Gate: GATE OUT X
Cutoff: VOLTAGE OUT B
Synth Input
Pitch: CV (pitch) / Key CV
Gate: Gate / Trig / V-Trig
Cutoff: VCF
Note: different synths will label their inputs differently.
So being as the XL doesn't exactly have those same labels does it mean to hook up:
Oberkorn Output
Pitch: VOLTAGE OUT A
Gate: GATE OUT X
Cutoff: VOLTAGE OUT B
Synth Input (CV Inputs section on XL?)
Pitch: CV (pitch) / Key CV (OSC Pitch?)
Gate: Gate / Trig / V-Trig (Env Gate?)
Cutoff: VCF (Filter Cutoff?)
I guess what I am asking is what would the (CV (pitch) / Key CV) be on the voyager XL?
and also what would the (Gate / Trig / V-Trig) be on the Voyager XL?
I am completely new to CV and modular so I apologize if this question is ridiculous, I'm learning and there isn't a lot of info on the web about connecting an analog sequencer to the Voyager XL. There are no pictures or Youtube videos really highlighting how things are actually hooked up to do this.
I did find this one but can't really tell how it is actually hooked up

Can anyone help me out with this?
Thanks, D.
newbie Voyager XL CV Sequencer ?
Re: newbie Voyager XL CV Sequencer ?
You can't get wrong... just connect as you wrote:
Oberkorn Output >>>>>> XL Input
Gate: GATE OUT X >>>>>> ENV GATE yellow
Pitch: VOLTAGE OUT A >>>>>> OSC PITCH red
Cutoff: VOLTAGE OUT B >>>>>> FILTER CUTOFF green

I don't have an Oberkorn, but it's all the same (with slightly different naming)

Re: newbie Voyager XL CV Sequencer ?
OK, thank you very much. That;s what I thought but wasn't sure.
Got my cables today and it works great. Sounds amazing! The voyager XL is always surprising me with the things it is capable of.
I kinda fell into it not really even thinking about getting one (my first hardware synth) because of a trade for a vintage Fender guitar. And I am so glad I gave it a chance, never even thought about playing synths much let alone anything semi-modular and now I just love it. It feels like a long lost friend I never knew I had. So many things to discover in this realm, it is a lot of fun.
