Frequency at +7 sharp

Post by donp » Sat Aug 16, 2003 12:07 pm

I notice that the frequency at +7 for oscillator 1 & 2 is a little sharp when you turn the knob all the way to the right to +7.

I assume it is so that you can tune a little sharp if you wnat to 5th to be a little de-tuned? Or maybe so you have a little room to adjust up if the oscilator drifts a little and becomes flat?

Can anyone with more experience then I chime in and let me know if this is normal. If I turn the knob a little to the left of +7 it tunes to a perfect 5th and stays in tune. This is consistant for both Oscillator 1 and 2.

Thanks in advance.

Yes this is normal. The scale on the front panel is semitones. +7 semitones is one whole note above a fifth.

I am sure that i am not the only one who would rather discuss Moog products here. This photo mess is not good for the board.

I would gladly supply my serial numbers if that would guarentee that only owners may post.

Be well, put good sounds out for a world that needs them. Touch that dial!

Magnet -

I contacted the webmaster at Moog Music this morning. He was unaware of the recent inappropriate & disturbing posts. He explained that Moog Music is moving to a new location this week and many of their computers are down. Nevertheless, he was able to log on and get rid of the offending posts as you can see.

With that taken care of, let's get back to the productive discussions on Voyager!

:)

Not to be picky :), but you mean 2 and 3 ? osc 1 dose not have a freq adjustment, only an octave switch :).
