Minitaur Lemur editor

Post by puzzlegob » Tue Feb 12, 2013 4:01 am

I updated my Moog Lemur editor, and it now has a Minitaur tab.

VERY cool!! 8)

I don't have Lemur, but I'm in the (very early) planning stages of doing something similar with MIDI Designer on my iPad.
Having a page tab for each Moog device from one Lemur screen is a great idea!!

Thanks for sharing this!!

great,
can it also be done for the t3, which is largely the same as the minitaurus ?
lots of people longing for that ...

I would think it could be used for just about any device and control on that device that is addressable via MIDI. :)

I don't know all the details of what can be done with Lemur, but I imagine they are at the top of the game when it comes to custom MIDI controller capabilities. I seems the company and app has quite the reputation!!

While I am just now really starting to experiment with MIDI Designer, which is still relatively new, it looks like it's going to be QUITE capable as well... 8)

There's not much it can't do immediately, and with a little light scripting, it can do pretty much anything you can imagine!

My first template was for the Roland MKS-80, which has a fairly complex voice architecture, and parameters are only editable via sysex commands. I was able to create an array of x/y pads that can control up to 16 parameters simultaneously, and the user can select which parameters are edited, set minimum & maximum values for each, and toggle the polarity of how they scale on their axis. A short, basic script can then take all the coordinate data and pack it into a single sysex string for smooth multiple parameter changes.

Eventually I'd like to add something similar to the Moog Template, and I've been trying to code some cool LFO's that you can map to parameters on the Phatty/Minitaur/'Foogers etc.
