RME with Version 3.0 - It's here!

Post by zaque » Sat Aug 20, 2005 2:19 am

Came today. Haven't had a ton of time to play with it yet but I did check and see that it came with version 3.0. However I'm not sure I have the memory board because I only seem to have 128 preset locations and not the 896 advertised. I know I *paid* for the upgrade (i called and had them update my order a few days before it went out). Anyway, I'm wondering if perhaps there is a need to switch banks and if so does anybody out there know how to do that? I've looked through all of the menu's I could find but nothing seems to allow me to switch banks. Ideas?

Most likely one has to press a certain button first and then us the cursor keys to switcxh banks. Atleast, this is the only way I think it should be done. But didn't the manual included cover the OS 3.0 features?
keep on turning these Moog knobs

here is a zip file containing all of the presets from the RME version 3.0.

http://www.euqaz.net/moog/MoogRMEPresetsOS3.0.zip

the zip file contains 6 sysex files - one for the first 6 banks (bank 7 is all Default so i left it out)

enjoy!

p.s. i'm not going to leave this up for too long. if somebody else wants to find a more permanent home for it post the link here.

gd -

I'd suggest that you download the Editor (if you haven't already) from Moog and check it out for yourself. Although it's 'crippled', you will get a sense of what it can do. Patch organization is just one of its many functions - others include the Editor that displays all Voyager parameters onscreen (including the ones buried in the menus), and the ability to freely reorganize your patches, and then there's the Preset Genetics module (allows you to mix 'n match patches to create hybrids, blends or totally new sounds).

AFAIK, the Editor does not come with the 3.0 upgrade. You could buy it now and get the benefits of it while waiting for October when you can order the upgrade kit.

thanks, I will go ahead and get it. I also need a new midi interface and am thinking of the Presonus Firepod.
