Scratchy Volume CV

Post by proghead » Sat Nov 17, 2012 4:41 am

Hi All.

I connected a volume pedal (EXP ped.) to the Volume CV jack.

It works as I can control the volume with my foot, however I hear a strong scratching noise in the audio signal of the Minitaur (REV 2) when moving my foot.

I tried 3 different pedals, all with the same result. Those pedals are working ok with the keyboarder.

Any hint?

Kind regards.

Andy

Some synths use a kind of lag processor to smoothen ingoing voltages. So a scratchy pedal is not noticed on these synths.
keep on turning these Moog knobs

Prodigy * minimoog '79 * Voyager * MF102 * MF103 * MF104z * MP201 * Taurus 3 * Minitaur * Sub Phatty * MF105 * Minimoog 2017+ MUSE * One 16 (sold)

I'd give Moog a call on this one, since you tried 3 different pedals with the exact same result each time. I'm guessing it must have something to do with your Volume CV or Volume CV Jack.
