Re: Post your latest purchase!!
You'll like the STG Mixer; just need to trim it to match the output of the output of your Voyager (if that's the intent).
Here is the 808 BD paneled and a pic of it in my rack. Note the 'floating' Level control (this is temporary until I can get my next mouser order in; as an instrument it's useful to have a level control; as a module, a trim for unity adjustment is all that is needed when knob space is at a premium).
Still trying to work out how to treat the "accent" feature; the guy that designed the PCB just gives you a 2-pin header and it's up to you to rig. The original 808 had either a 4V base signal or up to a 14V accented; obviously as part of the modular, I seek to have CV input from a sequencer or LFO or whatever. So for now, I just attach a 9V battery; hahaha...
And here is a picture mounted behind a STG 'Imagine" panel; top pot is Frequency (pitch), middle is Tone, bottom is Decay. Incredible range on this as it has all of the popular mods that folks did to the 808 over the years. Most unfortunately, the extreme small size of the board necessitated that I attached it backwards to the panel. Have to get some nylon nuts or super long screws and two sets of standoffs. The hex nuts (even #6) won't fit on the tiny corner of the board. So the 3 jacks are to be Accent, and are currently Trigger and Audio out. This thing BoooooooMs, bigger and harder than my JoMoX that I sold. It's 100% analog and only uses 1 IC, OPamp, very old school.

wth is up with that MIDIpal to the left?
Re: Post your latest purchase!!
Good eye muksys. I put it behind a 2 space panel and added 8 pots to the analog inputs on the board. Olivier had the foresight to put pads, reference volt and ground on board and the built in "Controller" application which you can bind to Midi CCs.
I added two CV inputs protected by zeners which I drive via analog LFOs or analog sequencer; so for instance, I can sync VSTs from analog sources (like the cutoff on the OP-X [OBX]). I'm was going to add an LED for the two 1/4" inputs to represent 'overvolt'. The zener will take care of frying the ATmega controller but were voltage jumps between 3.3 and 5V, I won't get the full scaling of Midi so the thought is to use the LED as an indicator and I can simply attenuate until the light just turns off then I know it will hit top around 3.3 and that will correspond to midi 127.
Also use it for clock (to drive sequencers via Midi->Sync24); it has a built in swing that is pretty good and I don't have to mess with the computer. Also the Poly (dispatch) app is pretty good for playing analog mono synth's in duo or chord, etc. If you have some Midi gear it's well worth the $$ and the wait to get it here from France.
I was going to write a Voltage to Midi interface or something else but haven't had the time. I haven't programmed in anything resembling C since college about... um... 25+ years ago. Yeah, I'm old.

Re: Post your latest purchase!!
Agreed. Ever since I got the MIDIpal, I wonder how it would be possible to go on without it. I had thought of building a separate box with the 8 pots, but Frank (fcd) came along with the "octopot", brought up in this thread. I'm on the list for beta testing, but It's on his back burner atm.
I was more curious about the 2 1/4" jacks you have at the bottom of the panel. Nice idea for the CV IN's. Let me know if you ever get the V-MIDI app written into the code (that kinda stuff is way over my head), I could use something like that. You can find me over there at MI as "qp".

Well done EMWhite! Very creative implementation of the midipal! I use it in dispatch mode... a flippin blessing if you ask me. <why wouldn't Moog implement a basic bit of gear like this in a synth to make a poly setup? eh, whatever...>
Yeah, the Midipal is simply amazing. Not at all because it is some NASA-type machine; rather, its simple functions make you wonder, as mentioned above, "how in the world did I get on without this?" It has allowed me to create my own custom Moog-Oberheim polysynth.
I would like to add my most recent purchases here, but I will forego the pics since I have no idea how to embed pictures in a post (could someone please advise?).
Most recent purchases:
+ Moog Minimoog Voyager Lunar Impact
+ Moog Little Phatty Redback Edition (second one in the arsenal, to go along with my LP Tribute Edition)
+ Waldorf Microwave XT in truly as-good-as-new condition (with my own customized knob layout using new, original Waldorf Microwave-style knobs)
+ Mutable Instruments Midipal
+ Livid Instrument Ohm64RGB with Cell DNA VJ software and additional clip libraries
After so many years of buying and selling stuff that just didn't fit the bill, my overall setup is now exactly how I always wanted it. Now, the only synth I'll buy is a Moog poly (if they ever get around to making one!)

Thanks for the props, Fyvewytches.
I almost made a move to sell it and buy one of the imminently discontinued select series units (whitewash with purple lights), but my wife talked me out of it. In fact, she's the one who got me the Waldorf Microwave XT! I'm lucky to have a wife who thinks all of this synth stuff is awesome. She is actually working on a puppet show she is writing about a mannequin synth player and she made a synth for him out of paper maché. It looks a little bit like a Prophet 5, but has its own unique design. Back when I was circuit bending (yeah, the one time I tried and destroyed an overpriced Casio I bought on ebay) I bought a lot of wires, knobs, potentiometers, and so forth and they were just collecting dust after my failed experiment, so I offered them to her so that she can finish up.
What gear do you have in your setup?

Re: Post your latest purchase!!
WOW! Some nice purchases and projects here. Very inspiring.
In my endless search for old RA Moog modules, I found these "Rare as hen's teeth" RA Moog 904B and 904C combo. While the modules themselves might not be so rare, finding them seperatly is. I could not afford to buy a complete Moog Modular to get a set of these. So I'm ecstatic to have found these without breaking the bank. These Trumansburg era modules are difficult to find in this condition, and now I have the 904 ABC combo the larger systems had. So this is a major upgrade for my IP!

I'll probably end up purging the Dotcom Q960 and Q962 from the Moog cabinet leaving 5 blank spaces to fill. That new Dotcom Box 11 and power supply, looks to be a nice solution to mount the sequencer.

This is what I just bought, an MFB 522 analog drum machine. It should arrive in the coming weeks. It's a miniature german version of a Roland TR-808.
