New guy - Rogue or MG-1 a good choice?

Unfortunately I don't have anything that will generate CV/Gate signals that I could use to verify that it's a problem w the oscillator(s) and not the keybed.

No, what i'm saying is the only time i get that is when a jack is in the socket - ie. the contacts are pushed apart. Just check if the jacks are properly normalled (ie. closed) when no jack is present as this may bypass the keyboard.

It was indeed the jack - everything seems to work perfectly now :)

I've always been attracted to the MG-1, mostly because of its price, but I really like the sound too. Thinking of getting one, but the lack of pitch wheel always turns me off.

Are you saying it has sliders that can be used to bend pitch instead of the wheels?

no pitch bend sliders, but you can use the master tune pot- go with the MG-1- you'll get it cheaper than a Rogue, and have that great square wave poly option... my opinion at least, and I've had both
